The truth is...

...if there was a secret box set available with *only* the Luthor moments of the first three seasons or so of Smallville? I would totally pay for that. 'cause clearly those are all of the best parts.

...possibly the only parts worth watching.

But having the RANDOM single disc pilot release is awesome. The Clark fainting is not on my S1 disc set, and the amusement value really is immense.

[personal profile] zaganthi is kind of right, though. Re-watching is a lot like agreeing to date your emotionally abusive ex. You keep hoping it wasn't as bad as you remember it being, and it keeps crushing that hope into dust.

I *neeeed*....

...recs for a new eyeliner. I'm looking for something in a sort of dark-ish purple. Purple-y charcoal would be good -- less crocus/lavender/magenta, more Tyrian, or more the darker purple in my icon.

Reliable, not bleed crazy, waterproof preferred. I've been randomly trying purples with most of the eyeliners I currently use, and while blacks and browns and charcoals seem to be reliable, the purples have all sucked. Sephora's got several pretty pretty purples (mmm, crash! glimmering plum! rockstar!), but it's not self-sharpening, and I have no reliable witnesses to tell me if it's great or not. Twenty bucks for an eyeliner I'm going to use twice and hate just doesn't work for me for some reason.

So! Do any of you have a brand of eyeliner that you use that you just think is the most awesome fantastic purple thing ever?

Yuletide squee!

Oh. Yuletide. Now I see why everybody was all, "You should do this, this is fun!"

Artemis Fowl fic. Post-Atlantis Complex, and it was so absolutely everything that I wanted and needed and probably did not even realize I needed. It is permanently saved to my folder of AWESOME THINGS I WANT TO KEEP and will totally be carried about on my person for a while, just in case I want to read it again and squeal some more.

Eeee! ♥

edit: OH MY GOD. There is MORE. I. I am so excited about this.

ISO Recipe

If anybody has a good recipe for cranberry nut bread that does not involve orange juice, I'm looking for such a creature. I might end up just substituting milk and praying, but I figured asking couldn't hurt, might help. Artificial orange flavoring or scent gives my sister a migraine, to the point where she has trouble facing anything that's got oranges in at all, and I'd hate to cause her to make the bad face! Actually, she loves orange juice, but she said yesterday that it's reached the point where she's having the same reaction to real citrus as well as artificial citrus, so. It's just as well I waited.

edit: Thank you for all of the excellent suggestions! Have now found a recipe which does not involve juice, and I think that will work out for us. I suspect I will try pineapple juice to replace orange juice at a later date. Additionally, I can toss this sucker into my bread machine and let it do all of the kneading and the like before I bake it in loaf pans.

Sometimes I wonder....

...if they hadn't ought to take away my license for being a girly-girl.

I can't possibly be the only female in existence who thinks that I'd rather have a root canal than watch Eat, Pray, Love. I mean, in all seriousness, that looks like the single most boring waste of over two hours I've ever seen. As terrifying as it is to admit, I'd almost rather re-watch Utena the Movie than see Eat, Pray, Love.

That is awfully scary, actually.

I need... to get up and wash my hair. And. I don't know. Do something productive. For example, post Kink Bingo. I thought Kat had failed me in the title department, however, I have discovered she did not. That is excellent.

That just leaves seventeen or so more in need of titling. I reckon I'll just go ahead making it up as I go along. Can't hurt, might help.

Ice Box Cookies

These are stupidly easy. You mix all of the ingredients together, roll them in Glad wrap, and stick them in the refrigerator. Once they're chilled enough, you slice them and bake them. It's so hard, you practically have to poof your face with flour when you're done.
